About The Project

I created the MaxFitness project as have always been very passionate about fitness and feel over the years of training and doing my own research into my training I feel I have developed a vast understanding of the dos and don'ts to achieve your fitness goals.

I have created this blog to inform and motivate others to start their fitness journey and help people along the way as feel I know first-hand the challenges that come along with trying to get into shape.

I will be posting about a variety of different topics in the fitness industry from helpful advice with your diet and workouts to motivational post and informing people the benefits of being healthier for their physical and mental health.

This blog will also have a focus on the mental health effects of physical exercise as this is an extremely important topic and i feel is often one that is slightly neglected when discussing mental health issues.

If interested in this project I highly recommend having a go at TheMaxFitness project challenge and leave your result in the comments.

WHY THIS BLOGS IMPORTANT!

Workouts have been shown to vastly improve not just your physical health but your mental health. the list of mental health benefits from workouts and eating healthy is vast some of the main points are:

  • better sleep – by making you feel more tired at the end of the day
  • happier moods – physical activity releases feel-good hormones that make you feel better in yourself and give you more energy
  • managing stressanxiety or intrusive and racing thoughts – doing something physical releases cortisol which helps us manage stress. Being physically active also gives your brain something to focus on and can be a positive coping strategy for difficult times

Heart disease and stroke are two leading causes of death in the United States. Getting at least 150 minutes a week of moderate physical activity can put you at a lower risk for these diseases. You can reduce your risk even further with more physical activity. Regular physical activity can also lower your blood pressure and improve your cholesterol levels.

Metabolic syndrome is some combination of too much fat around the waist, high blood pressure, low high-density lipoproteins (HDL) cholesterol, high triglycerides, or high blood sugar. People start to see benefits at levels from physical activity even without meeting the recommendations for 150 minutes a week of moderate physical activity.
